Explanation："Be strong and of good courage" isnt talking about strong muscles, or being able to fight with your hands or weapons. This verse is talking about a strength and courage that comes from the Lord. "Them" in the verse means anyone or anything who tries to keep you from serving and obeying the Lord. "Forsake" means to abandon or leave.

Application：If you know the Lord Jesus as your Savior from sin, God will give you the strength and courage in your mind and spirit to serve and obey Him. Sometimes its Satan speaking to your mind saying that its boring or useless to serve the Lord. He will try to get you not to read your Bible or pray, and not to tell others about Jesus. Ask the Lord Jesus to keep you strong in serving and obeying Him! Ask Him to make you a strong soldier for Him! When He returns, He will reward you for your faithfulness in standing for Him cared for you？Do you ever feel confused and wish there is someone who help you to know the right thing to do？Well, our Bible verse tells us that you had someone who wants to be all of those things for you, all the time.

Who is ？them？" That is anyone or anything that comes in your life to hurt you or try to turn you away from God. God says："Be strong and of good courage, be not afraid of them." If you know the Lord Jesus as your Savior, He lives in you. He will go with you to where ever you go. He is bigger than any problem you will ever face. So, He is your protector, your best friend and your wisest consular. Remembering that wonderful truth should give you strength and courage to stand for God no matter what comes against you.
